Stopped by Hobby Lobby to pick up some things for another project I have in the works as well as some things for the Africa diorama i'm planning.
Though they very seldom get new kits and have shrunk the model section from 16' space to an 8' space, this one caught my eye. And at 40% off sticker price, why not!
As much as I like the American Muscle cars, I have always been drawn to the early day designs. As time has gone on, and one company buys five more, all the cars look a like. Back in the early days, cars not only class and style, but they had attitude and a personality.
The kit comes with some hellacious smelling glue. All i did was take the cap off and the vapors and fumes came rolling out like an apocalyptic wasteland. The 3 canisters of paint are a water based acrylic. I'll give those a shot first go. The white is a gloss where the brown is satin. I may skip the the included steel and use some of my Tamiya.
I do plan on testing out my new AK Interactive Extreme base and the Extreme chrome. There's very little chrome on here, so it should be relatively easy.
I haven't opened the plastic yet, but from the box and the decals, the radiator doesn't seem to be detailed and relies on the included decals. I also noticed, there is no chrome plated parts, so it will be the AK Extreme chrome to give it the color.
